The level of investment in the showrooms exceeded ₽90 million. The legendary designer Philippe Starck, creative director of the YOO Inspired by Starck brand, took part in the presentation.
“This is a residential development of the highest quality; a truly elite property in St. Petersburg,” said Philippe Starck. “The project concept has no boundaries in time, as it is an original interpretation of the palace and fortress. I do not mean the palace in its classic meaning, but a space where all high-quality elements are put together.”
The four apartments of 330 sqm that were presented were created in line with the architectural styles of YOO Inspired by Starck – Classic, Culture, Minimal, and Nature – to demonstrate innovative approaches to design as a business solution. Investment volumes in finishing work exceeded ₽90 million, of which ₽70 million were spent on design and furniture; the remaining ₽20 million was used to finance construction and installation work. The development and realisation of design work took more than two years. The apartments have furniture from the most famous design brands: Bulthaup kitchens, as well as concept solutions by Philippe Starck. A writing table made in the Culture style is worth ₽1,100,000 and is the most expensive piece of furniture in the building.
According to Nikolay Kazanskiy, Managing Partner of Colliers International Russia, the cost of a design project in Russia is at least €100 per 1 sqm, while finishing work in a ready-made elite apartment costs in the range €1,500-3,000 per 1 sqm, which is much more expensive compared to the selling price of the apartment.
